First MSME Technology Centre in Haryana set up at Rohtak

Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Government of India has set up its first Technology Center at Rohtak in Haryana state initially with a single course with a aim to introduce several other technical course in coming five to six months. The project to cost Rs 174 crore with the help of World Bank was launched in 20 acres area inside Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Rohtak where the construction work is going on war footing basis. According to Vijender Kumar Director MSME Technology Center, there is planning to provide training in designing, molding,to manufacture instruments and tools with latest technology.at much subsidized rates. He said that government would offer loans and subsidy to the entrepreneurs to the manufactures setting up their units..He told media persons that part time as well as full time technical courses in CAD-CAM, Analysis Software, Skill Development and other course are being introduced in this technology centers and these type of courses were earlier available only at Ludhiana in Punjab..The Director told that initially training classes by about 14 students were started in IMT computer laboratory at Rohtak for some time and now mechanical training classes have been shifted to ITI complex in Sector 5 Rohtak till its own building completes comprising of eight class rooms, mechanically equipped production block, hostel facility for students, canteen, library, park and play ground. Vijender Kumar told that this technology center would have facilities for training and preparing software for 2D and 3 D designing as per National Aeronautical & Space Administration (NASA) and Indian Spare Research Organization (ISRO) requirements. He disclosed that MSME is going to establish 10 technology Centers across the country.and Rohtak is the first center in the state.
