HISAR: Terror continues in Hisar district, where about 20 cases of dog bites are reported daily in the civil hospital. The vases of dog bire are fast increasing in all districts across the state in which adults as well as children have also been attacked by dogs. The municipal corporations are working to castrate dogs, but the incidents are not decreasing. There is terror of dogs in the residential as well as public places in which people are afraid of. There are about 5,000 stray dogs in Hisar, which are being vaccinated and neutered. Information reveals, on an average more than 20 spot bite cases of dogs attack on children and women daily arriving in the civil hospital in Hisar. Dog terror continues in the district due to around 20 dog bite cases being reported in Civil Hospital every day. More than 20 cases of dog bites were reported in Civil Hospital on Friday, in four of these cases, dogs attacked children. However, the children were saved by intervening. During October On an average, there are about 580 dog bite cases every month.
In the street-neighborhoods of the city, there are a lot of stray dogs, and the terror of dogs continues in the residential colonies as well. There are too many dogs in Sector 13, Sector 9-11, Sector 1-4, Sector 14. People living here are worried about the fear of dogs. Associations have also made frequent complaints about this, but the residents can’t get rid of the fear of dogs. There is an atmosphere of fear in people. Many people are also injured. People who went for a walk in the morning, parents leaving their children to school, bicycle-motorcycle riders are often victims of dog bites. There are about 5000 stray dogs in the city.
A few days ago, the Municipal Corporation started a campaign to castrate dogs. About 350 dogs were castrated in the first 20 days. The corporation estimates that there are approximately 5,000 stray dogs in the city. According to the tender, the agency will have to vaccinate and castrate 5 thousand dogs in 6 months. The agency charges 1400 rupees from the corporation administration for one dog. However, the agency had asked for 1650 rupees per dog for this work. The agency will take the dogs from the area, after vaccination and castration, they will be released back to the same area.
There is a risk of rabies from dog bites. To prevent this, the wound should be washed with soap. It prevents infection. Also vaccination is very important. If the dog is rabid, it is more likely to spread rabies, Dr. Gyanendra, Physician in government hospital Hisar said.
