Pakistani drone intercepted at Indo-Pak border village

Amritsar, May 28 – Border Security Force ( BSF) seized a  drone which arrived on Indian territory at Indo-Pak border village Dhanoe Khurd having close proximity with the Pakistan border with the arrest of one accused.

In a statement issued here today, BSF officials stated that on 27th May about 2135 hours, BSF troops deployed in depth area, heard the buzzing sound of a drone, in the area near Village – Dhanoe Khurd in Amritsar.

As per the laid down drill, troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing.

 During subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered a drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice RTK 300) from the farming fields of Village – Dhanoe Khurd, Distt – Amritsar.

Meanwhile, depth deployed troops near Village Dhanoe Khurd also saw three persons running towards the village, challenged them and caught hold of one suspect alongwith a bag containing narcotics consignment of three packets (Gross weight –  3.4 Kgs). An iron hook and four luminous strips were also found attached with the consignment.
