A one-day Capacity Building Program (CBP) on “Promoting Mental Health and Wellness of Students” was organized by CBSE at St. Lawrence International School, Jagadhri, under the leadership of Chairman Dr. M. K. Sehgal.
The CBP was inaugurated with prayers by Resource Persons Dr. Seema Dutt and Abhilash Sharma, eminent educationists Dr. M.K. Sehgal, Dr. Rajni Sehgal and Principal Pooja Batra. A total of 76 participants from 13 schools actively took part in the program.

In his address, Dr. M.K. Sehgal emphasized that mental health is the foundation of holistic student development and highlighted the teacher’s role in creating a stress-free learning environment.
Dr. Seema Dutt stressed on identifying behavioral and emotional challenges among students and urged teachers to create a safe and empathetic classroom atmosphere.

Abhilash Sharma* encouraged teachers to practice active listening, self-expression, and stress management strategies in class.
Dr. Rajni Sehgal* said such workshops not only train teachers but also sensitize them to students’ emotional needs, enabling children to grow as confident and resilient individuals.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Vikrant Gulati, appreciating the insightful sessions and interactive activities conducted by the resource persons. Participants shared positive feedback, acknowledging the value of the program in supporting student well being.
