Amritsar to Delhi Vande Bharat Train inaugurated

Amritsar:  The inhabitants of Punjab are given New Year’s gift with the beginning of ‘Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express’ trainfrom Amritsar the city of Golden Temple to New Delhi the national capital of India. The train was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi today who flagged off the train through video conferencing.

Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed train that can attain speeds of 160 kmph, track and signalling infrastructure permitting.

On this occasion, Governor Punjab and local BJP leadership were present at the Amritsar Railway Station.

Amritsar Member Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla who was also present on this occasion said that he was thankful to Prime Minister for his unique efforts to facilitate the businessmen and traders with the introduction of this train.

Senior BJP leader and Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency in charge Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today hailed the Centre government of Narendra Modi for starting ‘Vande Bharat Express Train’ between Amritsar and New Delhi. He said that the entire Sikh community is thankful to the Prime Minister for linking the holy city with the national capital through this fast train.

The train, he said, will reduce the travel time between the holy city of Amritsar and Delhi and would be a boon for regular visitors and pilgrims to the holy city of Golden Temple. He said, ease of travel through this train will also boost the economic growth of the region by way of tourism promotion and business activities.

“I am extremely thankful to the PM and Railway Minister for the train and hope that the government will continue to take such decisions for the welfare and development of this region”, said. Chhina. The decision of Centre Govt. to start various Vande Bharat Trains in the country will significantly improve the rail connectivity to religious and tourists’ destinations across the country.

These fastest trains on their respective routes will save the considerable amount of time of the passengers during their journeys.
