Mumbai: The Ajman Nuventures Centre Free Zone highlighted here recently its “One Year Milestone” of establishing itself with numerous businesses, accelerating entrepreneurship through innovation and global reach.
Describing Ajman as a new “Global Gateway for Indian Entrepreneurs,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Nuaimi, Chairman, ANCFZ, stated that this achievement reaffirmed Ajman’s standing as a “thriving business hub” aligned with Ajman Vision 203, surpassing 6,500 company formations in one year and demonstrating entrepreneur confidence in Ajman’s forward-thinking economic policies and the ‘Free Zone’s” innovative digital model.
Rishi Somaiya, CEO, ANCFZ and part of a high-level Ajman delegation on its maiden India tour, noted that the ANCFZ has transformed the region’s business formation landscape through its “fully-integrated digital platform that allows investors to obtain a business licence within 15 minutes and complete visa within 24 hours.”
“The Free Zone operates through a seamless digital portal where a dedicated team manages the process on behalf of the clients, from documentation and approvals to licensing and compliance,” he said, adding “This hybrid approach of digital efficiency and personalized service enables entrepreneurs to focus on growth, while ANCFZ handles the operational details.”
Noting that the UAE dirham is pegged to the U.S. dollar to reduce currency fluctuation risks, he said the ANCFZ highlighted 100% foreign ownership and repatriation of profits, besides permanent residency for investors.
While Ajman’s diverse investor base comprising of over 150 nationalities ‘mirrored’ the emirate’s long-standing economic partnerships with key international markets, it also ‘reinforced’ the UAE’s reputation as a global magnet for entrepreneurial talent and as a global business gateway, he said.
Besides serving traditional industries, ANCFZ focused on emerging sectors like artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital gaming and creative technologies, along with its flexible structure allowing upto “10 mix-n-match business activities to operate under a single licence with also unlimited shareholders,” Somaiya said, adding that this approach aligns with the UAE’s +Digital Economy Strategy 2031+ that aims at doubling the digital economy’s contribution to national GDP over the next decade.
To support business growth, ANCFZ offered comprehensive, all-inclusive packages starting at AED 10,800 that covered licensing, visa facilitation and workplace solutions along with strategic location in Ajman for seamless access to regional and global markets through key logistics corridor linking the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Pointing out that the UAE is a big trade hub and springboard into other countries, Nasser Rashid Salim, Manager, Operation & Control, ANCFZ, said Ajman has a robust ‘cold chain storage’ where even mangoes remain fresh.
Replying to questions, he said Investors needed to come once a year to keep their visa alive, while job hiring meant one Emirati to be included for every 60 employees.
