Army & para-military forces to control, manage oxygen generation plants in Haryana

-SATISH HANDAabdulhe control and supply of oxygen by all oxygen generation plants in Haryana state will be managed through army and para-military forces, talking to media persons Haryana Home & Health Minister Anil VIj suggested need of disciplined supply of oxygen to hospitals at this stage when number of patients suffering from Corona has lost lives in the absence of oxygen in the country. It has been observed in past years, when Vij says something he does till projects become successful. Vij said, Haryana state government has started preparations to meet challenges for suspected third variant of epidemic outbreak may prove harmful especially for children and making preparations for vaccination for this age group.

While talking on the subject for supply of oxygen, Haryana state is now well prepared to meet its requirement in government as well as private COVID hospitals now but requires a disciplined supply system only possible by the army.  Vij said, Haryana has been getting oxygen stocks from oxygen plants at Rourkela, Jamshedpur, Orissa, Roorkee in Uttarkhand and West Bengal so far for supply to all government and private COVID hospitals bearing huge expenses towards transportation, but now has started refilling oxygen in cylinder in its own oxygen generation plants already started functioning at Civil Hospital Ambala City, Karnal and Sonepat, whereas another oxygen generation plants being installed at Panchkula, Faridabad and Hisar are about to start production of oxygen gas soon when government in the centre may divert oxygen stocks to Delhi state facing acute shortage of oxygen in hospitals and will also stop its black marketing.

Vij said, state health department has decided that every government as well as private hospital in the state should have its own oxygen generation plant in side the hospital and has already prepared a blue print for door-to-door supply of oxygen against demand received on-line to facilitate large number of patients undergoing home isolation and the entire operation will be controlled by the central office at Chandigarh, as well as Nodal Officers and Red Cross offices in every district in the state when demand will be sent on portal http/oxygenhry.in which will be acknowledged through SMS. Vij said, it will also stop black marketing of oxygen gas, besides prompt service to home isolation patients.

According to state health department information, out of total quantity of oxygen produced in the state to be supplied to hospitals in every district comprise of 75% share will be reserved for supply to government and private hospitals and remaining 25% share of oxygen will be reserved for patients having treatment through home isolation. Vij told media persons that Oxygen quota in Haryana state was increased from 156 to 162 ton and further increased to 232 tons and if need arises will be further increased to 257 ton. Vij said, arrangement for increase in number of beds in state hospitals is under fast process, which will include 1000 beds at PGI Rohtak, 200 oxygen beds at Faridabad, 500 beds at Hisar, 500 beds at Panip at Refinery and 1250 oxygen beds in medical colleges in the state to be completed by May 12, 2021.
