BBMB employees contribute Rs. 2.70 Cr. to PM-CARES fund

Chandigarh: BBMB is pioneer organization in water and power sectors and committed to provide continuous water and power to the country’s northern region.
Stepping up battle against COVID-19, BBMB employees contributed two days salary amounting to Rs.2,70,50,000/- towards Prime Minister’s ‘PM CARES’ fund.
D.K. Sharma, Chairman, BBMB thanked all employees of BBMB for their kind gesture at this crucial juncture. He thanked officers and staff of BBMB and security staff from State Governments of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab for maintaining essential services of supply of water, electricity generation and transmission during the period of lockdown.He also thanked doctors, nurses and para-medical staff who are involved in maintaining medical services. He appealed to all Project Heads to continue to help daily wage labourers by providing them cooked food and ration items at all its project stations i.e. Nangal, Talwara, BSL Project at Sundernagar and also at BBMB headquarter at Chandigarh.
