In support of Bharat Bandh call by farmer unions, SGPC to keep offices, educational institutions close tomorrow

Amritsar, February 15 – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to keep its offices and all educational institutions closed in support of the call of Bharat Bandh tomorrow on February 16, by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and farmers’ unions of India.

SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami said that farmers are the backbone of the country, the Sikh organization SGPC supports the struggle they are doing for their existence. He said that the offices of the SGPC and educational institutions will be kept closed on February 16 tomorrow under the call of Bharat Bandh by the country’s farmers’ organizations. He said that this is not the matter of farmers alone but is also the basis for defining the country’s economy and the strong state of food reserves.

Dhami said that the government should accept the demands of the farmers of the country without delay so that the aspects associated with the farming culture can be preserved and the farmers are happy.
