BJP leader arrested in ‘Kabutarbaji,

AMBALA (Satish Handa): A senior BJP leader also Zila Parishad member Makhan Singh Lababa trapped in police net in several immigration cases allegedly sent youths to United States through fake documents, earlier granted stay on his arrest by the court in two cases but finally arrested by STI Karnal on Friday late night on a complaint registered against him at Naggal police station in Ambala district on July 15, 2020 by Baldev Raj a resident of village Setla allegedly sent his son Rajiv Kumar and nephew Kanwaljt to United States in 2017 on fake documents when both were arrested by police in USA and sent to jail. According to complainant, amount worth Rs 20 lakh was paid to alleged accused later refused to refund the amount threatening to kill youths. Dharanveer Saini SHO Naggal police station told that his accomplish Surinder yet absconding and search for his arrest is still going on. He told that arrested accuse was produced in the court and remanded to police custody for four days.

About political background of Makhan Singh Labana, he fought Vidhan Sabha polls from Ambala City constitution on behalf of Bahujan Samaj Party but defeated, later Labana joined INLD and left the party when Chautala family was divided and joined BJP in a hope to contest Vidhan Sabha polls from Pehowa constituency. According to information, earlier Labana is facing three cases registered against him allegedly sent youths to United States on fake documents and all arrested by police while entering USA illegally and sent to jails, which include complaint lodged by Balvinder a resident of Shahzadpur in Ambala district allegedly sent his nephew Yashpreet to USA on June 16, 2019 for which amount worth Rs 16 lakh was paid but youth was arrested at the border and sent to jail.

In another complaint lodged by Gurpreet Singh resident of Barara in Ambala district, he was sent to USA by sea on May 3, 2019 for which amount worth Rs 13 lakh was charged from him, but in stead of reaching USA he was pushed behind bars in USA on September 12, 2019 when he was arrested by the police while crossing the border. In another complaint registered against Makhan Singh Labana by Kulvinder Singh resident of village Barwa in Kurukshetra district he was cheated for amount worth Rs 19 lakh assuring to settle him in abroad and left New Delhi airport on April 25, 2018 but his dreams remained unfulfilled when he was arrested by police at USA border and sent to jail.
