Border Security Force seized above 3 k.g heroin, pistols and cartridges

Amritsar – Border Security Force (BSF) have seized drugs and ammunition which was smuggled to India from the Pakistan side.

In a statement issued here today, official stated that on 09th Feb,  during night hours,  troops deployed at the border heard the buzzing sound of a suspected flying object (drone) entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area near Village – Mianwala, in District – Tarn-Taran.

As per the laid down drill, troops endeavored to intercept the drone by firing. The whole area was cordoned and Police & concerned sister agencies were informed.

Further, during search after the first light, BSF troops recovered one bag containing three  packets of narcotics  ( heroin)  (Gross wt. – 3.240 kgs) wrapped in a yellow adhesive tape alongwith one  Pistol, one Magazine and five  rounds from the farming fields near village – Mianwala, District – Tarn-Taran.
