Broad daylight bank robbery, Rs 4.78 lakh robbed at pistol point

Bhiwani (Satish Handa): Four youths of age between 20 to 25 arrived in a car entered Canara Bank branch at Rewai Khera in Bhiwani district at around 11.30 AM on Tuesday, of them three youths entered the bank premises whereas their fourth companion sat outside in the start car. According to the branch manager of bank, there were only three employees in the bank including himself at the time of incident when two youths carrying pistol in hands threatened to fire and their third companion opened the cash box lying in front of cashier and collected cash amount worth Rs 4.78 lakh kept in the box and the three managed to flee closing door of bank premises from outside. On hearing alarms, a youth son of village Sarpanch passing through on the road chased the robbers started firing at him when he managed to enter a roadside agriculture farm to save his life and the robbers managed to escape. On getting information Sangeeta Kalia SP Bhiwani reached at the spot along with cyber crime cell incharge Ramesh Kumar along with SHO of police station who searched footage of CCTV camera installed inside the bank and started their search but failed to find any clue about robbers in 24 hours.
