BSF recovers three packets of contrabands and Pistol pushed from Pakistan through drone

Amritsar, September 19 – Border Security Force ( BSF) have seized three packets of contrabands ( suspected to be heroin) 2.570 kgs and one automatic imported pistol which was smuggled to India from Pakistan through drone.

In an official statement here today, official stated that on the night intervening 18th / 19th Sept’ 2022, BSF troops deployed on border and depth areas heard a buzzing sound of suspected flying object coming from Pakistan to India side and after a while returning to Pakistan side. Depth deployed troops also observed suspected light (radium type) and heard the sound of dropping something inside a farming field near village Dhanoe Kalan in Amritsar district.

He further informed that during the course of action, BSF troops fired towards the sound of suspected flying object during its incoming and outgoing.

 Further, during search, BSF troops recovered 03 packets of narcotics (gross wt – 2.570 kgs) alongwith one Pistol, one magazine and eight rounds from the farming field at village – Dhanoe Kalan.

BSF troops, once again foiled the nefarious attempt of anti – national elements to smuggle contrabands using drones, said official.
