Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which handles catering services in the trains, has announced that the menu and rates of foods served in important trains including Shatabdi, Rajdhani, Duranto, Gatimaan and Vande Matram Express trains have been revised.
According to an IRCTC official, the food would be supplied to travelling passengers in 2nd 3 tier AC sleeper or chair car in express trains at the price Morning Tea @ Rs 10 per cup, Breakfast @ Rs 70, Lunch/ Dinner @ Rs 120, Evening Tea with Snacks @ Rs 45 and Combo Meal @ Rs 70.
Whereas rates supplied to passengers travelling in Ist AC coach would be charges Rs 15 for morning tea, Rs 90 for breakfast, Rs 140 for lunch/ dinner, Rs 45 for evening tea and Rs 70 for combo meal.
