CM flying squad raided, sealed factory manufacturing fake pickle

KAITHAL:  (Satish Handa): CM Flying Squad from Panchkula on a clue raided a factory preparing varieties of pickles in the fake brand of popular manufacturer at Panipat on Saturday.  Ravinder Sharma DSP told media persons that the team conducted surprise raid at the factory registered in the name of Family Foods at Khurana Road Kaithal along with Food Safety Officer, Kaithal Dr Rajiv and recovered 160 drums of 200 kg capacity pickles selling in the brand name of a popular pickles manufacturing company at Panipat and arrested owner of the firm Suresh Kumar resident of Kaithal admitted preparing pickles, ‘Murabba’ and sallied food products since past about 10 years.

DSP told that pickle was being manufactured under most unhygienic condition with worms moving inside the drums and flies all around in the area. Dr Rajiv told that fungus was seen accumulating inside the drums most harmful for the health as such pickle samples were collected to be forwarded to government forensic laboratories for examination. According to raiding team, a display board having name of popular Panipat firm was also hanging outside the factory, which was sealed by the visiting squad from Panchkula and a case was registered with the police against owner of the firm allegedly cheating and manufacturing  adulteration food products. Alleged accused Suresh Kumar during preliminary investigation admitted he was supplying manufactured products not only in local Kaithal market but also all over in and around the state.
