Consignment of heroin worth Rs 2 crore and 17 stolen bikes recovered by Ambala Police in 24 hours

Ambala: Cases of drug trafficking are increasing in Haryana during this year. The police have launched campaigns to prevent drug abuse at various places. Despite this, the drug addicts are in high spirits. The government is also doing hard to prevent drug abuse in the state, but drug trafficking cases are not stopping. The latest case has come to light from Ambala, where the police have achieved a major success. The police have recovered heroin of value worth two crores brought from Delhi.

Inspector Rishi Pal, in-charge Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC, said that strict action is being taken against drug smuggling. The police had received information that two boys, Vishal and Vansh, were bringing drugs on an Activa. After which the team arrested both the youths during the blockade on the highway, and 301 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession, which is worth about Rs 2 crore. Both the accused were produced in the court and 3 days police remand has been obtained. At present, the police are interrogating and many more important links are likely to come to light during the investigation.

In another case, 17 stolen bikes have been recovered by the police who arrested a gang of four accused of stealing bikes from Ambala Cantt area. Giving information, Inspector Rishi Pal said that the team had received information that the accused were roaming around to sell bikes stolen from Bandhu Nagar and other places in the town. While setting up a blockade to catch them, three accused were arrested. They have been identified as Abhishek, Rocky, Rohit and Vikram. Information revealed that four cases are already registered against accused Abhishek. After interrogation, a total of 17 bikes have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
