Drug smuggled from Pakistan seized

Amritsar- Border security Force has seized heroin at Indo-Pak border which was smuggled to India from Pakistan side.

In a statement issued here today, BSF official stated that on 14th Dec at about 2125 hrs, Border Security Force troops deployed at border heard buzzing sound of drone entering from Pakistan into Indian Territory in the area falling near Village – Daoke in District – Amritsar. As per drill, the troops tried to intercept the drone by fire. The whole area was cordoned and Police and concerned sister agencies were informed.

Further, during search BSF troops recovered 01 Packet of contraband suspected to be heroin (Gross wt – 4.490 kg) wrapped with yellow tape near Village – Daoke. Further detail search of the area is in progress.
