Drugs. mobile phones being supplied to prisoners in Ambala central jail, 35 drug smugglers on NCB radar in Haryana

On a secret clue, security team in the Ambala central jail conducted a surprize raid on Sunday late evening inside a barrack  of Ambala central jail and caught five prisoners while attempting to cross the wall when saw the raiding team and were caught. During the search, the team recovered 11 mobile phones , 4 chargers, 3 sim cards and 78 intoxicated tablets from them. Prince Kumar DSP (Jail) said that among those arrested prisoners include Rajat and Puneet from whom two mobile phones and intoxicated tablets were recovered, whereas 4 mobile phones, two chargers and sim cards were recovered from the prisoners Kamaljit, Shubham and Rishabh, against them cases were registered
According to Suresh Kumar, in-charge Headquarter the involvement of jail staff cannot be denied and usually the mobile phones, chargers and sim cards are being thrown from the outside of the jail fourwall as such the mobile phone ring frequently seen ringing inside the jail barracks. Information reveals that a proposal for the project for installation of jammers in this central jail is pending in files since past several years without action in this jail having large number of terrorists and VIPs lodged inside the jail.

Haryana State Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) which is being presently monitored by the DGP Haryana Shatrujit Kapoor himself told that as many as 35 drug smugglers in Haryana state involves in illegal activities since a long times are on NCB radar under drug control act 1988, having number of cases registered against them under NDPS Act in Ratia, Hansi, Kaithal and Taraori (Karnal) police, which can be taken into the custody by the police under PIT-NDPS Act.

Meanwhile, two policemen identified as constable  Sunil and constable Krishan posted at Maloya  police station were suspended and sent to the police line allegedly involved in releasing two drug smugglers after accepting Rs 12 lakh bribe from them. During investigation by the DSP both were found involved in the conspiracy.
