Earth Energy Disrupts EV Industry with Launch Of Electric Two-wheelers

Mumbai: Earth Energy EV, an Indian-origin automotive startup, launched three electric two-wheelers in the Indian market today. The new range — GLYDE (Rs 92,000)+, EVOLVE R (Rs 1.42 lakh)& EVOLVE Z (Rs 1.30 lakh) in 3 trendy colors of Marshal grey, jet black, and white –were produced 96% in India Electric vehicles through tie-ups with Indian OEMs and domestic auto part manufacturers. ‘Eagles’, Arrowheads’ and ‘Diamonds’ have inspired their designs.

Rushi S., CEO & Founder, Earth Energy EV, while announcing in a webinar the disruption of the EV industry with the three vehicles, highlighted the emergence of the EV industry in India due to various factors like growing environmental awareness, increasing petrol prices, and stringent emission norms that were likely to make consumption of electric vehicles go up now more than ever. “Earth Energy is focusing on providing a greener and cleaner era of sustainable mobility solutions in line with the governments’ vision to electrify all vehicles in the country by 2030,” he said.
Highlighting the ‘first in this segment’ SMART IN TRUE SENSE technology that made this Earth Energy a high-end E-vehicle, he said their other positive factors for these vehicles’ lucrative price included practical yet trendy and contemporary design and ultra-powerful built for the Indian roads.

The young startup, which began late 2017, has a 7000 sq ft R&D setup in Vasai, Mumba that produces Li-on battery packs in-house for enabling quick charging with adaptive range prediction according to the riders driving patterns. The brand has thoughtfully built an EARTH ENERGY app that digitally clones the user’s vehicle and provides up to 270 parameters for diagnosis of problems, while the users can also book the maintenance services with one click using the app.
“All Earth Energy’s vehicles come with a default in-built app-enabled with smartphones that helps the rider to keep live navigation status, incoming calls/messages alert, trip history, and current destination on-screen for confidence-inducing, uninterrupted ride. The app also allows the third party usage model for food delivery agents. The entire order mapping can be easily done on the display screen itself,” he said, adding “The entire range inculcates an automatic headlight enabled feature for switching effortlessly during night and day time and an LCD display which will help riders to see in dark and light mode, Battery SOC, real-time range and TBT (turnabout time) navigation, etc.”
