Chandigarh: Deepender Hooda demands an answer from the ruling BJP government on Haryana’s crime graph, Congress MP Rohtak Deepender Hooda cornered the government over the rising crimes in Haryana, while addressing media persons said that more than 45 people are going missing every day in the state and incidents of murder and rape are also fast increasing in the state, especially crimes against women and children increased. Hooda accused the government of failing to control crime and sought answers from the police. He said that Haryana is at the forefront in crimes against women and children.
Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda said that the government in Haryana is not functioning but is sleeping. “In the Central Government’s Social Progress Index (SPI) report, Haryana is among the most unsafe states in the country, where Crimes are increasing rapidly in the state and criminals are fearless,”
Deepender Hooda alleged that the state government is not focused on preventing crime and the government has no control over the police, due to which criminals have become autocratic. Three days ago, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda had also expressed concern over the crimes.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi, MP Deepender Singh Hooda said that more than 45 people are going missing from Haryana every day. This figure is very worrying. This year alone, from January to March, 4100 people have gone missing from the state and more than 1000 people have been kidnapped. He said, state government has failed to control drug and liquor smuggling in the state.
