Every third complaint received on CM Window in Haryana relates to police department

About three years ago in order to solve increasing public grievances quickly Haryana state government had introduced CM Windows to receive public complaints in Deputy Commissioner’s office in every district across the state. Information reveals, over three lakh complaints were received at CM Windows in the state in past three years between January 2019 and January 2022, of them nearly 87% complaints have been solved. Sadly, every third complaint received on CM Window was against police department. Sometime ago, Haryana Home Minister Anil VIj holding public durbar quite often in his home town Ambala Cantt to listen public grievance, too, while talking to media persons expressed deep concern over delay in action by police department in the state against public complaints and assured action against those police officers delaying action on public complaints lodged in police stations in the state.

According to information, graph of complaints received on CM Windows fast rising, Out of total number of nearly three lakh complaints received on CM Windows in the state in past three years which include maximum number of 97219 complaints related to police department, 41257 complaints related to  Rural Development & Panchayat Department, 25179 complaints related to State Electricity Department and nearly 22000 complaints related to State Education Department  out of which nearly 87% complaints identified as 2,58,397 have been solved so far and remaining 13% complaints identified as 41436 are yet pending for action in the state.

Vij said, state government is taking steps to hi-tech police network in Haryana state and fill up large number of posts in state police department lying vacant to improve law and order in the state. He said, large numbers of police stations and police posts in Haryana state are being upgraded. In reply to a question regarding maximum number of complaints received on CM Windows in the state related to police working, admitting lapses by police department in the state  Vij assured immediate steps are being taken to improve police working in the state.
