Farmers burn effigy of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh

Amritsar : A sizable gathering of farmers led by SKM (Sanyukt Kissan Morcha) today during protest burnt the effigy of Member of Parliament, President- Wrestling Federation Of India Brijbhushan Sharan Singh while extending support to wrestler girls who were recently roughed up by Delhi Police.

The protest was organized in the premises of Deputy Commissioner Amritsar.

Farmers during protest demanded immediate arrest of Brijbhushan and asked the Government to do the needful to deliver justice to the struggling wrestler girls.

Farmers also raised voice in favour of Jallandar based vernacular Newspaper editor who was recently summoned by the state vigilance bureau.  

Protesting farmers expressing solidarity for the former Punjab Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar who recently resigned from the cabinet said that it was a condemnable act of the Punjab Government for forcing the Nijjar to resign.
