Fruit Truck brings Heroin from Pakistan

Amritsar, October 4 : Border Security Force (BSF) have seized 435 gms of heroin  in Pakistani Truck loaded with Afghan dry fruits at Zero line / Trade gate of ICP Attari in Amritsar sector.

In a statement issued here today by the BSF stated that the consignment of drug was smuggled to India from the Pakistan side.

Official said that on 03rd Oct’, BSF troops recovered contraband item suspected to be heroin from the truck during the checking / frisking of Pakistan Truck loaded with Afghan dry fruits.

During search it was found that an Iron Patti (plate) was wrapped with the suspected item in black adhesive tape and further Iron Patti was attached with the magnet. Suspected packet was hidden with a mud guard of the rear – side tyre with the help of a magnet. Narcotics dog of BSF responded positive to narcotics. Gross weight of Heroin with packing material and magnet is 1.195 Kgs and Net wt. of Heroin is 435 gms.

The driver has been taken in custody of BSF and legal formalities have been initiated with NCB Narcotic Control Bureau.
