Faridabad: In view of the recent floods in Faridabad district, the district administration and health department have further accelerated relief and rescue operations. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh and as per the instructions of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jayant Ahuja, comprehensive health services are being ensured in the affected areas.
So far, 27 villages have been found to be fully or partially affected. These include Basantpur, Kidawali, Lalpur, Mahavatpur, Rajpur Kalan, Tilori Khadar, Amipur, Chirsi, Manjhawali, Chandpur, Mothuka, Arua, Chhayansa, Mohana, Dadsia, Jasana and Kanwara. In view of the danger of waterlogging and diseases in these villages, primary medical facilities are being strengthened.
The health department has deployed 40 medical teams in the affected areas. These teams are conducting health checkups, providing medicines and spreading awareness about cleanliness by going door to door. Special NIV units have been installed in the shelter homes of Arua and Mothuka villages, which are monitoring the people living there round the clock.
The administration has declared the community hall of Rajpur Kalan and the marriage halls of Dadsia, Jasana and Kanwara villages as safe homes. Regular health services are also being provided here.
Deputy CMO Dr. Ram Bhagat himself is visiting the affected villages and inspecting the camps, while Dr. Rajesh Shyokand is working on a minute-to-minute action plan in the severely affected areas, so that immediate help can be provided in case of emergency.
The administration has appealed to the flood-affected citizens not to panic in case of any health problem and immediately contact the nearest medical team, Asha worker or Panchayat representative.
