Haryana Police launches Operation Hotspot to wipe out crime in Haryana

Operation Hot Spot” is a current Haryana Police initiative to target criminal activity by concentrating police presence and action in specific “hot spots” of crime. The operation involves coordinated raids, increased patrolling, surveillance through CCTV, and the establishment of checkpoints to disrupt criminal networks and reduce crime. This differs from the concept of hot spot policing, which is a broader, evidence-based policing strategy focused on specific crime locations.

Panchkula: After launch of successful ‘Operation Trackdown’ by Haryana police in which 7587 antisocial elements in the state has been arrested in 23 days, include nearly 6011 hard-core crminals, Director General Police (DGP) O.P. Singh has not announced Operation Hot Spot Domination in the state to wipe out anti-drug crimes from the state completely. Police information reveals that 136 anti-social elements have been arrested by the state police, Including 5 notorious criminals on the first day of the campaign in 24 Hours. DGP Haryana while addressing media said Haryana Police has launched ‘Operation Hotspot Domination’, identifying areas across the state where anti-social elements congregate, police intensified combing operations, patrolling and surveillance in sensitive areas in villages and cities, in collaboration with the civil administration, which will ensure police completely curb the activities of criminals in hotspot areas. As a result of this ongoing crackdown across the state. He said special care will be taken for the arrest of those involved in drug smuggling, illegal mining  and on-line frauds.

According to police information, Faridabad Police played a proactive role in this campaign, arresting 25 criminals and sending them to jail. Raids are also underway in other districts of the state to curb criminal activities. During searches conducted in the past 24 hours, Haryana Police recovered one pistol, one rifle, two magazines, and 37 live cartridges. Apart from this 17 Tippers, one JCB, and two Tractor-Trolleys were Seized in Illegal Mining in a day. The Panchkula Police’s Anti-Illegal Mining Team has taken major action against illegal mining during continuous patrols and surprise checks. According to information, between November 22nd and 29th, during eight days of strict surveillance, 17 Tippers, one JCB, and two Tractor-Trolleys were seized. The police will now call in a surveyor team from the Mining Department to inspect the lease area and mining boundaries. CCTV monitoring, 24×7 deployment of commandos, flying squads and regular patrols are ongoing in sensitive areas to ensure immediate action is taken against any suspicious vehicle.

Four accused arrested by Haryana police from UP and Jharkhand in cyber fraud case. Faridabad Cyber Police acted swiftly in two serious cyber fraud cases within 24 hours and arrested four accused from Jharkhand and UP. Three accused identified as Ajay Kumar, Abhishek Das, and Abhishek Tiwari who defrauded a Sector 14 woman of Rs 11,22,799 were arrested in Dhanbad. Wasim Khan (20) of Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, defrauded a person of Rs 1,58,700 in the name of a Telegram ‘review task’ was arrested and placed on three-day remand. 

Similarly, Sirsa Police along with a team from CIA Ellenabad, arrested Lakhvir Singh alias Lucky, a criminal with a reward of Rs 5,000 and a murder suspect after a prolonged chase in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Delhi. He was wanted in the sensational case of kidnapping, brutally murdering Gurpreet alias Gurri, and destroying evidence by dumping his body in the Canal. In this gang-related case, the accused and his associates abducted the deceased from Sirsa, brutally beat him, then took him to Rawatsar in a car, strangled him with a rope, and threw the body into the canal. During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to the entire incident. The police have arrested the prime accused and taken him on remand and intensive action is underway by forming special teams to arrest the remaining absconding accused.

Among other serious incidents reported in 24 hours include two school buses collide in Rohtak injuring 11 people including children, of them two in critical condition. A 19-year-old youth dies of drug overdose in Rohru. Muslim community protests against demolition of a mosque in Rattewala in Yamunanagar, where a crowd gathers at a police station demanding action.
