Haryana to have first ‘Ayush’ University & hospital in the country

Ambala: After the inauguration of 9th International Yoga Divas, Haryana Health and Home Minister while talking to media persons at The War Heroes Memorial Stadium Ambala Cantt said that Yoga popular in our country introduced by the Saints since ancient time has now been adopted by nearly 180 prominent UNO supported countries set up countries in the world and being celebrated all over in the world. Vij said that  the Haryana state government has decided to open 6500 Yoga Centres (Yogshala) in every village across the state, of these 1000 centres have already been set up for which 1000 Yoga teachers are being appointed. He said ‘Yog Manas’ AP has been launched on google for seeking registration in these Yoga centres. He saidthat it has been decided to introduce Yoga as a  regular subject in the syllabus in all educational institutes.

Home Minister said that the Haryana state government is opening a Ayush University in100 acre area at Kurukshetra, the first such university in the world to provide education in five different subjects related to Yoga to include Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy. Vij said that Haryana state is going to set up ‘Rashtriya Prakritik Chikitsalya’ – a 200 beds hospital at Panchkula and building for the same is almost ready which would be the first hospital in the country similar to AIIMS to provide treatment of all diseases by Ayurvedic medicines. He said, state government is going to promote manufacturing of different types of Ayurvedic medicines similar to the Allopathic medicines to provide Ayurvedic treatment to the patients suffering from different diseases.
