Haryana Tourism introducing new techniques to keep alive its 44 tourist complex

Most of the tourist complex in Haryana run by Haryana Tourism Corporation are struggling for life since past many years but the situation became bad to worst in past couple of years due to epidemic outbreak spread in the state as well as in the country due to limited number of visiting tourists in this period when most of these complex became almost sick when state government made proposal to lease out such units in private hands. Sources reveal, no satisfactory response against this proposal was received in spite of the fact all such complexes in the state are nicely constructed having high profile infrastructure due to overall severe slump in hotel industry in the country during this period when large number of hotels were forced to close down their shutters.

According to Neeraj Kumar Director General Haryana Tourism Corporation, out of total number of 44 tourist complex in Haryana state 37 tourist complex are meeting expenses including salaries to the staff at their own at present and state tourism department has now introduced several welfare schemes to attract visitors in Haryana tourism complexes and keep them alive. Overall scenario reveals that collapsing hotel industry has now started witnessing nearly70% improvement in Haryana state and tourism  complexes in the state, too, has started earning revenue to meet expenses including staff salaries.

Neeraj Kumar told that among attractive offers being introduced by Haryana Tourism Corporation include 25% discount on room rent in case of on-line bookings as well as special rebate to customers in case of group booking, provision for supply of food on home delivery basis or through ‘Zomato’ which have brought good response in most of the tourist cenres in the state, especially in tourist complexes at Bhiwani and Rewari.  He further told that in order to attract tourists face lifting Tiliyar Lake tourist complex at Rohtak and Karan Lake tourist complex at Karnal hasn attracting large number of visitors face lifting of both complexes has been completed with the installation of Water Park and playground for the children brought good response.

According to information, there are maximum number of nine tourist complex in Faridabad district followed by five tourist complex in Panchkula district, four tourist complex in Gurugram district, three tourist complex in Kurukshetra district, two tourist complex each at Panipat, Karnal, Rohtak, Sirsa, Yamunanagar, Hisar districts and one tourist complex each at Ambala, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Jind, Jhajjer, Sonipat, Kaithal and Palwal districts.
