Haryana well prepared for suspected third Corona wave: Anil Vij

Talking to media persons Haryana Home Minister also holding charge of state health department said people all over in the country are worried over suspected third wave of Corona for which alert has been declared and people should not take it lightly and adopt precautionary measures like wearing face mask, keep distance and avoid to remain in crowded places keeping in view that their safety is in their own hands, however state government is well prepared to face suspected terror of third wave of disease.

When media persons questioned Vij that leaders of political parties in opposition are blaming government not prepared to fight suspected disease and facing acute shortage for providing vaccination, Vij replied that raising doubts and hue and cry in Vidhan Sabha as well as Lok Sabha sessions has become a habit by opposition party leaders. Vij admitted state health department was not fully prepared to face sudden severe attack of second wave of disease left adverse effect on suffering patients claiming large number of lives all over in the country, however situation was controlled by the state health department in-spite of fact there was shortage of beds and oxygen in all COVID hospitals in the state and alternate arrangements were made in places other than hospitals..

Vij assured, state health department is now fully prepared to meet every challenge and there will be neither shortage of beds nor oxygen as well as medicines in all hospitals where oxygen plants has already been installed or work is under process on war footing basis. Vij said, 40 oxygen plants have been supplied by Union government and 130 oxygen plants are being installed in the hospitals by state government including primary health centres (PHC) and community health centres (CHC) in the state. He said, all private hospitals in Haryana state has been directed to install oxygen plant in their hospital with immediate affect.  Vij disclosed that state health department having nearly a lakh ‘Remdesivir’ injection in their stock to treat Corona patients and black marketing of medicines will not be permitted.

In reply to a media question that the disease may spread by the time oxygen plants are installed in hospitals in the state, Vij said all concerned officers of health department has been directed to complete installation of oxygen plants immediately and arrangement for ICU and ventilators in government hospitals has been made. He said, state government has made arrangement for regular supply of electricity, installation of diesel generating sets and concentrators for storage of oxygen in all PHC and CHS mostly situated in rural areas.

As regard vaccination in the state state , Vij said leaders of political parties in opposition are in the habit of making false blames on ruling state government for limited stock of doze for vaccination in Haryana state, which is absolutely untrue since vaccination doze is being supplied by government in the centre to every state across the country daily and consumed because it cannot be stored. Vij said, more than 1.06 crore people in Haryana state have already been vaccinated so far free of cost. He appreciated the role of doctors and para-medical staff in state health department worked round the clock to serve suffering patients in hospitals.

When question was raised as regard rumours of change and expansion of Haryana cabinet, Vij in reply said, he is sincere to his party as well as duty and worked round the clock in-spite of the fact he was on bed suffering from leg surgery and Corona. Vij refused having no interest in change and expansion in state cabinet neither he was consulted in this regard and only Chief Minister may reply to this question.
