Chandigarh: Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program, the Haryana government will introduce cluster schemes and promote indigenous products in the state, while interacting media persons, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that special industries will be promoted in each district to increase self-reliance. The government will encourage the Cluster scheme and try to provide a market to indigenous products and encourage people to buy them giving a boost to the sale of indigenous products in Haryana. Saini said, during the tenure of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the Haryana government had prepared clusters in every district of the state according to the major products there, which will now be encouraged by the ruling government in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for responding to the tariff hike by the US by increasing the production and sale of indigenous products in the country as well as in other countries trying to make self-reliance a weapon in this direction. Saini said the Haryana government has prepared a cluster plan for the industrial development of the state, in which there is a special plan for every district of the state. He said, ” The Haryana government is trying to promote at least two types of industries in every district, in which one industry will be the traditional industry of that district and the other will be a new industry. This will also lead to capital investment and encourage indigenous industry and domestic and foreign capital investors are liking this cluster plan,” he said apart from this, state government will make efforts through its various partner organizations to provide market for all the indigenous products made at village, town and city level as well as to encourage people to buy them.
State industry department has started a survey to find out what is special in which district. A preliminary survey reveals that Ambala is famous for manufacturing Scientific Instruments, IT and IT-enabled Services in Panchkula, Textile Industry in Bhiwani, Iron and Steel Industry in Hisar District, Agriculture & Food based and Automobile components in Sonipat, Promotion of engineering units in Rohtak, Hatcheries, Agro and Food based Industries, Iron and Steel Industries in Fatehabad and Jind districts. Mahendergarh district is a mustard producing area having many oil mills, so the state government will promote this industry there. Sirsa district has a good agricultural output, so there is a plan to develop a cluster of textile industry along with a food processing unit.
While interacting with the media, CM Nayab Saini said, ” A preliminary survey reveals that Rewari district is most suitable for promotion of auto component and textile industry. Haryana state government will promote pharmaceutical industry and chemical industry in Nuh district. auto components, construction engineering, agriculture and food based industries will be set up in Faridabad. There is planning for promotion of oil mills in Charkhi Dadri, plywood, utensils and steel in Yamunanagar-Jagadhari, paper mill, oil mill, agriculture and food based industries will be set up in Kurukshetra, handloom & textile industry in Panipat, footwear industry in Jhajjar, automobiles, auto components, IT & IT enabled services in Gurugram and agro & food based, packaging, pharmaceutical industries in Karnal.” Saini said our government is committed to promoting Swadeshi industries . CM said the central government is constantly making efforts to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ at the grassroots level and appealed to people to make and use indigenous products.
