Haryana’s action against drug smugglers, arrest them and attach their properties

Rohtak/ Ambala: Police are taking strict action against drug smugglers, have prepared a list of notorious drug smugglers from seven states, attached their property and sent them to jail after arrests. Special riders have been deployed in Kartarpur. Police have already confiscated the property of four smugglers and are collecting data of those bringing drugs from other states. Police have also collected data of smugglers from many states and are also keeping an eye on smuggling to make the district drug free. Not only this, the police have made a separate plan to stop the youth from buying drugs. Police have also deployed two special riders in Kartarpura, which will take action against those who buy and sell drugs enabling action to be taken on the spot. In such a situation, the police have increased security in many places in Kartarpura, Rainakpura, and other areas, so that the sale of drugs can be stopped.

Information reveals, police teams have confiscated the property of four drug smugglers. Police have taken action against Anil alias Leela, Rajkala, Rani under the PITNDPS Act. The police have also collected data of those who smuggle drugs from other states to Rohtak in order to completely stop drug smuggling in the city. Information reveals, data of drug smugglers from seven states has been collected. Police teams are working on many angles to destroy the channels of drug smugglers. Police teams are also identifying those drug smugglers who supply drugs from other states to Rohtak. Recently, the police have caught such drug smugglers and put them behind bars. Information further reveals, the police has collected data of drug smugglers from Jharkhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal which are main centres for supply of drugs in the countrys. A list is being prepared of those smugglers who have smuggled drugs not only in Rohtak but also in other districts of Haryana.

Apart from this, the police are now also investigating the angle of drug smuggling methods. Earlier, drug smugglers used to keep women with them during drug smuggling so that no one would suspect them. Now smugglers have started adopting new methods. Therefore, the police are now working on new angles as well. Recently, Police have confiscated the property of the drug smugglers which include Ramesh Kumar alias Bori a resident of village Bhaini Chandrapal having an old ancestral house, cash of Rs 13 lakh 73 thousand and a Creta car. The property of Dharambir, a resident of Kartarpur was attached which included three plots and cash of about Rs 2 lakh along with the properties of two others smugglers Anil alias Leela resident of Rainakpura, Rohtak and accused Bimla’s properties were also confiscated.

Around 350 police personnel conducted a special operation in Khokharkot, Kartarpura and Garhi Mohalla and recovered Rs 33,76,330, more than 2 kg of narcotics, gold and silver jewellery, 23 mobile phones, 79 ATM cards, 2 card swipe machines, 10 vehicles and other items during raids. The police had registered two separate cases and arrested 8 accused, from whom police had recovered 197 grams of ganja, two gold necklaces, silver anklets, tangri, hathful, kadha, kundal, etc. ornaments from the house of a woman smuggler in Kartarpur. According to police information, the value of the recovered gold jewellery is Rs 10 lakh and the value of silver jewellery is about Rs 1.5 lakh. Under Section 68F (2) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, the property purchased in the name of woman Bimla was also confiscated.

Meanwhile, in Panjokhra police station area in Ambala, in a special drive against drug smuggling Anti Necoric Cell   team led by In-charge Rishi Pal on a clue seized 3 kg 900 gm ‘ganja’ at village Kallar Hedi  and arrested the accused Suman Kumar   resident of village Bhawani Patti in district Supol in Bihar  presently staying in Khatik Mandi Ambala Cantt and a case was registered under NDPS Act on 21st May 2025.at Panjokhra Police Station Ambala Cantt.
