Heroine of value worth Rs 3 crore seized with 2 arrests including woman

The district police Rohtak on Wednesday arrested two persons including a woman during checking of vehicle in which both were travelling near a crossing at Sampla in Rohtak district and seized 1.5 kg heroine of value worth Rs 3 crore in international market lying in a plastic box kept under the seat as told by SP Rohtak Udai Singh Meena while addressing a press conference on Wednesday. He told that police department had received a secret input that two drug peddlers were on their way to Rohtak from Delhi purchased narcotic substances from Delhi.

Meena told that after the information was received an intensive search operation was conducted on Delhi-Rohtak road which led to the arrest of accused Sonia, a resident of  Anandpura Society near Jind bi-pass  Rohtak and Lalit son of Balwan Singh a resident of Shastri Nagar Hisar driving a vehicle bearing registration no. T-1022-HR-7964 impounded by the cops along with drugs kept in a plastic box under the side seat where female partner was sitting. Police registered a case no. 488.2022 under NDPS Act after both the accused were taken into custody by the police and produced in the court seeking police remand.

SP said that the properties of the accused arrested by police are being attached and would be demolished if found built illegally. He told that a police team has been deputed to Delhi from where both arrested had procured heroine from a foreign national youth a resident of Dwarka at Delhi. During preliminary investigation both arrested admitted that they are procuring drugs from Delhi and supply in the area around Rohtak.
