Hooda-Shelja clash may give birth to a new political party in Haryana

Clash in Congress senior party leaders in Haryana presently between former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also leader of opposition in Haryana Vidhan Sabha and HPCC President Shelja a former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member increasing day by day and Congress high command watching helplessly since past couple of months, which  may give birth to a new political party in the state. Past scenario of Haryana politics reveals, there is a tradition when chief ministers in the state launched separate political parties in past years. Ch. Devi Lal launched Lok Dal and Indian National Lok Dal , Bansi Lal launched Haryana Vikas  Party and Bhajan Lal launched Haryana Janhit Party in the state.

Prior to 2019 Vidhan Sabha polls in Haryana a clash was seen between Congress party leaders and Congress high command when HPCC president Dr. Ashok Tanwar had to part with HPCC president chair on the demand of few party leaders. It cannot be denied Congress in Haryana was able to win 31 Vidhan Sabha seats out of total number of 90 seats in the state due to Congress contestants from Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s lobby. Political clash between groups of Hooda supporters and HPCC President Shelja has started at present in which few senior MLAs demanding from Congress high command to replace Shelja. Congress high command already facing severe crisis in the party due to clashed between party leaders in Punjab, Rajasthan , Chhatisgarh and now in Haryana.

According to senior party leaders on the condition of anonymity told that Congress high command has been left merely as a family of three members  Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Wadra  to take all important party decisions since Congress has now been left neither  ‘high’ nor with any ‘command’ at present and such a large national party ruled over in the country for decades is now being pushed behind instead of moving ahead since past few years and most of the prominent party leaders has started leaving the party finding a bleak future in the party. According to political experts, party high command should take early action to sort out the conflict between Hooda and Shelja in Haryana and Capt. Amrinder Singh and Sidhu in Punjab without further delay with the intervene of senior Congress leaders otherwise it will be too late.

After 2019 elections, decision to remove senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad from Rajya Sabha was not an appropriate step taken by Congress high command. G-23 prominent Congress leaders organized a meeting in Kashmir wearing ‘Bhagwa’ turbans and Azad challenged that  he has left Rajya Sabha seat not politics when rumours spread that a separate party in Congress may be constituted. Information reveals, recently a Congress MLA has applied for registration of a new political party Haryana Janhit Vikas party to Chief Election Commission of India at Rohtak suspecting that unsatisfied Congress leaders in Haryana state may launch a new party in the state. Congress scenario in Haryana reveals, Hooda is having support of 24 MLAs, Shelja and Kiran Choudhary are having support of three MLAs each. Kiran Choudhary,  Kuldeep Bishnoi and Capt. Ajay Yadav are often seen in the meetings organized bythe  Hooda supporters
