Haryana Women’s Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia issued a strong message to Bollywood singer and rapper Badshah, extending warnings over obscene songs, advising rapper Badshah, “Respect the daughters of Haryana.” She said that if Badshah wants to maintain his popularity and recognition, he must uphold the dignity of Haryana. She appealed to artists to spread a positive message in society. Renu Bhatia said these ragini singers should write about the spirit of women, their pens will tire, and they should not defame women in this manner. Renu Bhatia said she is receiving numerous complaints about the increasing vulgar dance and songs in Haryana. She said this is not our culture. Renu Bhatia said that 70-year-old men are entertaining themselves with female dancers, wasting money, insulting their daughters-in-law and daughters. Your sons and grandsons will see you, what message are you sending?

Panipat: A fresh controversy has erupted around rapper-singer Badshah after the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) issued a formal summons over alleged objectionable lyrics in his recently released Haryanvi song ‘Tateeree.’ Haryana Women’s Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia has summoned issued on March 6, Badshah Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia, on March 13, 2026 at 11.30 am, at the Conference Hall of the DC Office in Panipat, advising him to ‘Respect the daughters of Haryana’ citing concerns that the song’s content may be indecent and could negatively impact women and minors.The complaints against rapper-singer Badshah were filed by Savita Arya of the Nari Tu Narayani Utthan Samiti and Shiv Kumar of the Shiv Aarti India Foundation, who allege the song contains objectionable vocabulary and sexualised references that objectify women and minors.

The commission’s chairperson Renu Bhatia said the panel has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter following complaints that the song’s lyrics are indecent and violate cultural boundaries and modesty. The controversy has been building since the track’s release around March 1, 2026. According to official summons issued on March 6, the case concerns complaints filed against Badshah. Renu Bhatia advised Badshah to respect Haryana’s culture and the respect of women, especially the daughters of Haryana and also demanded that the police take strict action against him. Haryana Women’s Commission Chairperson issued a strong message to Bollywood singer and rapper Badshah, saying he should respect Haryana’s culture and the respect of women and to maintain his popularity and recognition, he must uphold the dignity of Haryana. She said that Haryana’s daughters-in-law and daughters should not be insulted through any song or performance. She also expressed concern over the obscene songs and dances being performed on Haryanvi ragni and stage platforms, saying they are not in keeping with the state’s culture.

Renu Bhatia said, “The Women’s Commission is constantly receiving complaints about such activities making an appeal to artists to spread a positive message in society on Haryanavi Ragini of 52 Villages.” She said these ragini singers should write about the spirit of women, their pens will tire and they should not defame women in this manner. Expressing deep concern Renu Bhatia said she is receiving numerous complaints about the increasing vulgar dance and songs in Haryana. She said this is not our culture. Renu Bhatia said that 70-year-old men are entertaining themselves with female dancers, and insulting their daughters-in-law and daughters by wasting money. “Your sons and grandsons will see you, what message are you sending,” she said. The Police must take strict action against spreading nudity.  The state Police has a clear message to stop such activities.

The Women’s Commission should take cognizance of the recent viral video of girls being made a ‘murga’ (cock) during punishment in a Hisar school. Chairperson Renu Bhatia said, this is a sensitive matter and she is also going to meet the girls of a school in Hisar district and take strict action in this matter. While talking to media persons, Renu Bhatia made a major statement on spa centers operating in Haryana. It’s wrong to engage in illegal activities under the guise of a spa. The police must take strict action to stop such activities. The Women’s Commission should take cognizance of the viral video of girls being made to do the ‘murga’ (cock) in a Hisar school. Renu Bhatia said this is a sensitive matter, and she will also meet the girls and if they seek protection,  will provide them. Strict action will be taken in this matter also.
