Hooda said 1,446 factories in Haryana have either closed down or migrated since 2018-19
Chandigarh: Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing media persons here said that industries are continuously migrating from Haryana due to the BJP’s wrong and non-cooperative policies. According to recently released data, 1,446 factories in Haryana have either closed down or migrated to other states since 2018-19. The Reserve Bank of India provided this information based on data from the Annual Industrial Survey released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation. Consequently, unemployment, drug addiction, crime, and migration are on the rise in Haryana, he said.
Hooda said that Haryana’s industrial sector has declined by 12.2 percent in the last five years. During its tenure, the Congress government had established six new IMT institutes in the state. He also established major industries like Maruti, Asian Paints, NTPC, Reliance, Honda, IOC, Panasonic, Yokohama, and Denso in the state.
Former Chief Minister said that the BJP government’s entire focus is on event management and self-indulgent publicity, which is far removed from ground reality. The state’s total debt from 1966 to 2014 was Rs 60,000 crore, which has now exceeded Rs 5 lakh crore. Haryana ranks 14th out of 18 states in the NITI Aayog’s Fiscal Health Index. According to an NCRB report, corruption cases have increased by 187% in the last three years, placing Haryana at 6th place in corruption apart from fast increased crime.
