Amritsar: Three unidentified bike borne assailants shot at advocate who was on the way to Amritsar District court here today.

Confirming the incident Police said that three unidentified assailants with masked faces fired indiscriminately at young Advocate Lakhwinder Singh who was going to court in his car from Jandiala Guru where the incident occurred.

Police said that assailants fired ten rounds of bullets and three bullets directly hit the Advocate. Assailants after committing the crime escaped away from the spot.

After the incident, immediately the victim advocate with profuse bleeding was shifted to a private hospital in Amritsar where his condition was still described as critical.

Dr. Avtar Singh of Amandeep Hospital said that the condition of the patient was very critical as one bullet directly hit his spinal cord, causing severe damage in the lower part of body.
