Khadi Village Industries will play pivotal role in the increase of income

New Delhi : The central leadership of the BJP or the central government is not much interested in the panchayat elections of Bengal. Along with the central leadership of the BJP, Prime Minister Modi is more concerned about the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections. On the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission has started the work of providing employment to the poor in every village across the country. 

On the orders of Prime Minister Modi, the Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission visited some states and prepared a blueprint for the work to be done at which places and villages, all over India. Chairman Manoj Kumar says, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ talked about the soft silk made from the lotus flower of Manipur. Murshidabad district of Bengal produces good silk and muslin cloth. We came to know in our research that the cotton of Murshidabad has to be taken to Hazaribagh for making yarn or making clothes. Khadi Gramodyog will work to set up a spinning mill in Murshidabad and haryana before the 2024 elections. Before the next Lok Sabha elections, he will open his own khadi shops everywhere in the border areas of the country, in Manipur he will work to make silk and clothes from lotus flowers.

He said that there are many future plans regarding Khadi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also mentioned this in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’, products of Khadi and village industries will be brought to the market. Because the attraction of the young generation of the country towards Khadi is increasing.  Through the Center of Excellence in Khadi (CEOK), KVIC is now ready to be prepared according to Youngistan to make new fashionable Khadi. For this, the help of the new fashion designers of the country and the world will be taken from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and Center of Excellence for Khadi (CEOK).

Chairman Manoj Kumar said, “Khadi is being sold on a large scale across the country. Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has presented a lofty picture of a lofty India to the world by taking the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ to new heights”. He has traveled 12000 kilometers across the country so far. For the first time since independence, the turnover of KVIC products has crossed Rs 1.34 lakh crore.

In the last 9 years after the formation of the Modi government, there has been an unprecedented increase of 332 percent in the sale of indigenous Khadi products made by artisans in rural areas. In the financial year 2013-14, where the turnover of Khadi and Village Industries products was Rs 31,154 crore, in the financial year 2022-23, it has increased to the highest level of Rs 1,34,630 crore. Similarly, KVIC has set a new milestone by creating 9,54,899 new jobs in rural areas.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission Chairman Manoj Kumar has given the credit of this achievement to the ‘Brand Shakti’ of Prime Minister Modi and the tireless hard work of artisans working in remote villages of the country. He said that Prime Minister Modi has promoted Khadi from every platform in the country and abroad, due to which today Khadi has reached a new peak of popularity. Today Khadi products are counted among the most trusted brands in the world. In the financial year 2013-14 to 2022-23, where the production of Khadi and Village Industries products increased by 268 percent, the sales touched the figure of 332 percent, breaking all records. This is proof that the trust of the people of the country has increased on ‘Make in India’, ‘Vocal for local’ and ‘Swadeshi products’.

The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program-PMEGP has set a new record of connecting the youth of the country with the Swadeshi campaign of Prime Minister Modi. This scheme fulfills PM Modi’s dream of ‘becoming a job provider rather than a job seeker’. From the year 2008-09 to the year 2022-23, 8.69 lakh projects have been established in addition to the distribution of margin money grant amount of 21870.18 crores, due to which employment opportunities are available to 73.67 lakh people.

Not only this, more than 80 per cent units are set up in rural areas, out of which more than 50 per cent units are headed by SC, ST and women entrepreneurs. Not only this, more than 14 per cent units have been set up in aspirational districts. During the year 2022-23, the achievement was 85167 units in which 9.37 lakh employment opportunities were created.
