Nearly 800 vehicles registered on fake documents worry vehicle owners

YAMUNANAGAR (SATISH HANDA): Police seized nearly 500 vehicles registered on fake documents at automobile registration office in past sometime vehicles suspected stolen presently parked in police line area worries their owners purchased these vehicles with hard earned money and registered on the basis of fake documents. Now SIT investigating the case has served notices to another 300 vehicle owners suspected stolen, registered on the basis of fake documents and trying to seize these vehicles. Sukhbir Singh SHO City Police Station said these vehicles are suspected stolen and registered on the basis of fake documents are being taken into police custody and summons to agencies and agents sold these vehicles are being issued.

According to information, Sirsa police station arrested a dealer Sunil Chitkara when fraud about registration of vehicles on fake documents in SDM office at Jagadhari exposed and then SDM Darshan Kumar found 16 files of such vehicles missing in the office when a case was registered with Sector 17 police station against Amit computer operator and three other employees in the office Rajinder Dangi MRC, Sanjeev MRC posted at Bilaspur in Yamunanagar district along with three dealers Sunil resident of Rohtak, Krishan and Ram Niwas all arrested by police allegedly  involved in fraud in registration of vehicles on the basis of fake documents.

Information reveals, the names of two SDMs then posted at Yamunanagar Pooja Chanwaria and Darshan Singh were also exposed allegedly involved in negligence as well as alleged corruption as observed by SIT while investigating the case when arrested accused blamed the amount collected by them was being shared with them but SIT have yet to confirm truth in these allegations.
