‘No BO talk for me’

MUMBAI: Neil Nitin Mukesh detests discussing Box-Office collection of his movies.

He has been a part of some blockbuster movies, but Neil Nitin Mukesh does not like to engage in conversations about a film’s box-office collections. The Johnny Gaddaar actor said he finds many young actors today discussing film business, regarding which they have no clue.

“Nowadays, I hear so many young actors discussing business. Trust me, I am sure they have no idea of how the business of cinema works. They don’t know what the collections are like, but they just want to sound cool. Unfortunately, just to sound cool, I won’t make any conversation,” Neil said. The actor’s 2015 onscreen outing, superstar Salman Khan-starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo , went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year. Neil, however, said he does not bother himself with how much money his movies have made. Discussing Friday business is not fair “I have never taken that pressure. I am an artist; I don’t want to dilute my craft by sitting and discussing Friday business and box-office collections. If you want to come and discuss how beautifully written a story was, then I would love to do that. “But if you come and tell me ‘This is a superhit film because it did a Friday business of 100-cr’, that doesn’t excite me at all. I keep myself far away from that conversation.” On marriage The Wazir actor celebrated his 34th birthday on January 15 and is “praying” to find somebody with whom he will settle down in future. “That (marriage) depends on destiny. When I meet someone then… I am turning 34. I am praying to God that I come across somebody, who loves me enough to want to be with me for the rest of her life. Let’s see.”-PT
