No place for cheat immigration agents in Haryana; Vij

Large number of youths in Haryana state were cheated by immigration agents known as  ‘Kabutarbaj’ in past years sending people willing to settle abroad illegally on the basis of fake documents and matter became e a serious issue when after spread of Corona epidemic outbreak across the world when hundreds of youths sent by these immigration agents arrested in other countries most of them locked in jails at United States America were sent back to India and such cheat immigration agents were exposed. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij took a serious view in this regard and immediately constituted a committee including six IAS officers led by IGP Karnal range Bharti Arora. Vij said there is no place for cheat immigration agents in Haryana state and decided to wipe them out.

When country was facing KOVID-19 threat, as many as 370 cases against these immigration agents were registered by investigating team in which 351 cheats were arrested by the police from them amount worth Rs 1.04 lakh was recovered. Vij told media persons that maximum number of 175 FIRs were registered in Karnal district followed by 80 FIRs registered in Kurukshetra district, 51 FIRs in Kaithal district, 44 complaints in Ambala district besides remaining complaints received in Bhiwani, Dadri, , Sirsa and Narnaul districts.

Talking to media persons , Bharti Arora IGP said that these cheat immigration agents sent youths to settle abroad at USA, Mylasia, Mexico, Dubai and several other countries on the basis of fake documents after collecting huge amount from them and included 421 persons hailing from Haryana state were not permitted to stay abroad without genuine documents. Bharti Arora told media persons that during investigation police received total number of 646 complaints in four months and 370 cases were registered against cheat immigration agents, of them 351 accused were arrested by the police and 276 complaints including 51 cases registered against immigration agents in years 2018 and 2019 are under active investigation at different districts in the state.  She said, the number of immigration agents arrested by the committee  is nearly 94% excess as compared to those accused arrested in past 12 years.
