During a raid at Thai Spa Center located in Doctor Mittal Wali Gali on Ambala Road at Kaithal police on a secret information arrested four persons including two females involved in immoral activites. Five young women were also arrested from the hotel. Initial investigation by the police revealed that illegal prostitution was being carried out under the guise of the hotel for a long time. On Saturday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajesh Kumar informed the journalists that on the complaint of the victim’s mother, the Mahila Thana Police had registered a case on September 10. During the investigation, the police arrested Pooja, resident of Mela Ground, Manoj Kumar, resident of Rajpura Sahni village of Nathusari Chaupata and Kirat Singh, resident of Jhordnali. Kirat Singh allegedly also sexually exploited the minor.
According to police, the accused Pooja was earlier working in a spa centre in Hisar and four months ago she had come to live in lane number four of Mela Ground in Sirsa. Pooja and Manoj Kumar together used to contact minor girls and on the pretext of getting them a job, they used to push them into prostitution. The accused had sold the victim to Kirat Singh for Rs 10,000. This amount has been recovered by the police from Pooja. The crime was committed in a private hotel on Barnala Road. The police are now looking for other people associated with the gang and are taking the investigation forward on the basis of CCTV footage. DSP Rajesh Kumar said that this is the first case of this gang, but information about their network is also being gathered in other districts including Hisar.
