Rahul Gandhi visited flood hit border villages in Amritsar

Amritsar: Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi today after landing  at Shri Guru Ramdas International Airport, directly reached Indo-Pak border assembly constituency Ajnala.

On reaching Ajnala, Gandhi visited Ramdas and Konewal villages where he met the flood hit families.  Rahul also visited the dilapidated house which was on the verge of collapse, interacted with affected families to take stock of the situation. Gandhi was briefed by local Congress MP Gurjit Singh Aujla who was also accompanying Gandhi along with Jallandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channy, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Warring, LOP Punjab Partap Singh Bajwa besides local congress leadership. Gandhi also paid obeisance at historic Sikh Shrine Bit Baba Budha Sahib falling in the Ajnala Constituency.
