RSS’s Bangla mouthpiece Swastika raised Question, “Abhishek’s arrest is sensual pleasure or political necessity”?

New Delhi  : The Bengal state BJP is in a state of disarray after an article was published in the RSS’s Patrika. An article written by Nirmalya Mukhopadhyay, one hardcore sanghi, entitled ‘Abodher Gobadhe Anand’ has been published in Sangh’s Patrika, ‘Swastika’. He raised Question in his article, “Abhishek’s arrest is sensual pleasure or political necessity”?

Incidentally, the controversy has arisen at a time when RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is in Kolkata to mark the 75th anniversary of the Swastika. Are the policies of the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) different regarding investigations into various corruption allegations in the state? An article in the Sangh’s magazine ‘Swastika’ published at the end of September raised such a question. While the Bengal state BJP leaders have been demanding the arrest of Trinamool general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, the Sangh’s mouthpiece Swastika has demanded the exact opposite.

Bengal BJP has put a lock on mouth with this article written in a soft tone about Abhishek Banerjee. There is a lot of discussion going on within the state and bengal people outside. The article is circulating from leaders to worker’s mobile to mobile through WhatsApp. Opposition leader Subhendu Adhikari was not named, but many believe that he has been directly criticized in a part of the article. However, the authority of the ‘Swastika’ patrika has informed the media that the freedom of opinion of the author has been given importance in this article.

What is written in the article titled ‘Abodh’s Gobadhe Anand’? It is written, “All throughout the day long within the state audio is playing like a kirtan – “Pisi-Bhaipo chor hai”. Whoever mentions this PC slogan none other than the person came from Trinamool but nothing is said about the name of Subhendu in the matter. But somehow RSS fans don’t like this ‘Kirtan’ of Shubhendu, as the article indicates? This text also reads, ‘This is the main problem for many people, why is Abhishek out of jail ? It’s a thoughtless thought. According to investigators, the arrest is part of the investigation. Not the whole investigation. It seems that one-sided thinking is keeping the opposition far from the truth.

However, the ‘Swastika’ authority and the author are not too ‘worried’ about this article. Nirmalya Mukhopadhyay, the author of the article, said, “After my writing is published, I don’t feel comfortable saying anything about it. It will be the authority on behalf of the newspaper to say it.” And the statement of Sukesh Chandra Mandal, co-editor of ‘Swastika’, said, “There is a controversy over an article of ours. However, it is unnecessary”. The writer has freedom of opinion in any writing in Swastika. That’s what the author wrote. There is no question of influencing any investigation or supporting corruption”.
