RBI Regional Director Vivek Srivastava inaugurated
CHANDIGARH:The State Bank of India (SBI)’s regional business office in Chandigarh has launched a major outreach campaign during the Rose Festival. Anyone can exchange their old notes and coins at this camp.
Additionally, people are being educated about banking and how to avoid online fraud. The camp’s primary objective is to provide direct access to banking services and accurate information. This camp will run until February 23rd.
The camp was inaugurated by Vivek Srivastava, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Chandigarh. Several senior SBI officials were also present, including Vimal Kishore (General Manager), Parveen Kumar (Deputy General Manager), and Subhashini Rai (Regional Manager).
Due to the large crowds at the Rose Festival, the camp has allowed more people to take advantage of the facilities. The camp saw a large crowd on the first day, indicating a strong need for these banking services and facilities.
On the first day alone, more than 500 people took advantage of the bank’s note and coin exchange facility. Additionally, the camp raised awareness on banking security, financial inclusion, and digital currency. People were also well-received information on how to avoid new types of online fraud.
They learned how to protect their hard-earned money from internet fraud.
This camp demonstrates the bank’s continued efforts to connect all people with banking services and educate them on safe online transactions. Attendees praised the bank’s efforts and urged other banks to join the campaign.
