Sharing details, SGPC Secretary Partap Singh said that under the directions of SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, aid is being extended in flood-hit regions including Sultanpur Lodhi, Goindwal Sahib, Dera Baba Nanak, Ramdas, Ajnala, and nearby areas through local gurdwaras. He added that in recent days, with rising water levels and breaches in river embankments at several places, the situation has worsened.
In this difficult time, the SGPC has instructed managers of all gurdwaras under its management to assist the people. While arrangements for shelter and community meals (langar) continue uninterrupted, SGPC employees are also making every possible effort to deliver relief directly to those in need. SGPC officials themselves are visiting affected areas to help resolve the difficulties of the victims.
Partap Singh further appealed to affected people to contact the nearest SGPC-managed gurdwaras for any required services.
