Amritsar: In view of the grave flood situation across Punjab, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has established relief centres at various Gurdwaras under its management for the affected people. Under the directions of SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, every possible effort is being made to provide essential requirements to flood-affected people according to their needs.

Sharing this information, SGPC Secretary Partap Singh said that, following the path shown by the Gurus, the SGPC considers it its duty to stand with humanity during every difficult time. He mentioned that in light of the situation in several flood-affected districts of Punjab, SGPC had already instructed the managers of different Gurdwaras to establish relief centres and extend help to those in need as per the directives of the President. He added that as the situation continues to worsen, SGPC has arranged shelter, langar (community meals), and other essential items at several Gurdwaras.
Giving further details, he said that for the convenience of flood victims, relief centres have been established at:

Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, Patiala,
Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala),
Gurdwara Sri Tegh Bahadur Sahib Patshahi Nauvin, Baba Bakala (Amritsar),
Gurdwara Sri Baoli Sahib, Goindwal Sahib (Tarn Taran),
• Gurdwara Bhatha Sahib Patshahi Dasvin, Kotla Nihang (Ropar),
Gurdwara Sri Chamkaur Sahib (Rupnagar),
Gurdwara Sri Charankamal Sahib, Machhiwara (Ludhiana),

He appealed to the flood-affected people to contact the respective Gurdwara managements for assistance.
