Amritsar: Residents of Punjab having relatives in abroad heaved a sigh of relief with the announcement that all flights from Shri Guru Ramdas International Airport would resumed operation.
In a statement to media here today, the Airport Authority in Amritsar stated, “It is intimated to all concerned that Amritsar International Airport is now ready and open for all commercial/civil, domestic and international flight operations since 1018 hrs IST on 12.05.25”.
However, in a separate statement issued by the Corporate Communications Directorate, AAI stated “Reference notice issued for temporary closure of 32 Airports for civil Aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025.It is informed that these Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect.
It is recommended for travellers to check flight status directly with Airlines and monitor Airline’s websites for regular updates.
