Shelja files nomination papers amidst huge gathering

Ambala, April 22 (Satish Handa): Former Union Minister Kumari Shelja Rajya Sabha member on April 22 filed nomination papers to contest Lok Sabha polls at Ambala reserved constituency amidst huge gathering of Congress workers, leaders arrived from all nine Vidhan sabha constituencies in Ambala Lok Sabha area comprising of large number of female supporters in the presence of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Earlier, on Sunday Shelja addressed two poll rallies at Panchkula on the fifth day of her poll campaign when large number of workers of political parties in opposition including from BJP senior leader Shashi Saini contested polls on behalf of BJO in past joined Congress.
Pointing at BJP sitting MP also contesting 2019 Lok Sabha polls on behalf of BJP again, Shelja accused Ratan Lal Kataria arrived in the constituency after five years to demand votes in the name of developments in the constituency whereas he was seen disappeared from the constituency for long five years and now demanding votes in the name of Narender Modi once against. She expressed concern over Kataria did nothing in past five years. Shelja said that when she was MP in the constituency for a decade she got established Institute of Fashion Technology spending amount worth rs 100 crores, got approved project worth Rs 412 crores for construction of National Highway from Zeerakpur to Pinjore and Kalka, got approved a financial package for amount worth Rs 1083 crores for collapsing HMT at Pinjore and project worth Rs 679 cores approved for laying railway track between Chandigarh to Yamunanagar via Naraingarh, which remained dumped in files during past five years BJP rule due to utter neglect by Kataria. Shelja made an appeal to voters not to be misguided by BJP leaders against trying to attract voters with false assurances again.
