Hooda claims SPAT schemes dropped & Ayushman Yojana has been turned to a game
Chandigarh: Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda attacked the ruling state government over the tablets given to children in schools. He said that without SIM and internet, these tablets have become toys. Hooda also accused the government of closing down schemes started by the Congress, which included scholarships for poor students and financial aid to sportspersons. While addressing media persons Hooda alleged that the tablets given to children in schools have become toys. The government has not been able to provide either SIM or internet. The scheme launched at a cost of Rs 700 crore has been completely ruined. He said that the tablets given to students of classes IX to XII are lying idle since April without SIM and without internet. It seems that the BJP government is going to shut down its own scheme. If this happens, it will not be a surprise, because the BJP has already almost ended the scholarship scheme given by the Congress government to poor, SC and OBC children while ruling.
Hooda said SPAT (Sports and Physical Aptitude Test) and the scheme of financial aid to poor school players started during the Congress government have also been discontinued. The former Chief Minister said that the Ayushman Yojana has also been turned into a game since the ruling government has not been able to provide money worth crores of rupees to private hospitals in the state for months against their bills. He said the same treatment has been meted out to Fasal Bima Yojana and Kaushal Rojgar Nigam and skilled workers are being thrown out from their jobs. Now another notice has been issued regarding this that those who have been working in Kaushal Nigam for less than five years are sure to be fired from their jobs.
Former CM Hooda said that Haryana, which was known for prosperity and greenery during the Congress tenure, is now known for hooliganism and bullets for its alleged failure to control crime and the worsening law and order situation in the State. He said that the graph of crime has been continuously rising ever since the BJP came to power in the State, as such the situation today is such that every person in the State feels insecure, since crime has gone out of control, and it seems that the mafia, and not the government, is running the State, is now known for hooliganism and bullets. Hitting out at the BJP, Hooda said, before 2005 Haryana faced similar law and order challenges, but when the Congress government assumed power in 2005, it issued a stern warning to criminals to either abandon crime or leave the State. Congress didn’t just make promises, acted on them. The Congress government successfully eradicated gangsters, mafia, and miscreants from Haryana.
Former CM Hooda said, law and order have deteriorated. “Law and order were maintained, creating a secure environment that attracted significant business investments during Congress rule in Haryana , which made Haryana the top State in India for job creation, investment, and development. However, since the BJP took power, law and order have deteriorated, causing businessmen to leave the State one by one and deterring new investments due to frequent threatening calls for extorting money to businessmen in the state,” he added the poor law and order situation in the State is worrisome, for which the BJP government is to be blamed, has failed to provide security to the public.
