Panipat/ Panchkula: The team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Karnal, during a raid in the Tehsil office in Israna arrested Tehsildar Narendra Dalal’s reader Indrajit while accepting a bribe of Rs 25000. He had demanded a bribe from Naveen to get the decision in his favour in a family land case going on in the Tehsil Court. The accused was arrested red handed while accepting the bribe amount on Tuesday. The reader had demanded money from Naveen, a resident of Mandi in exchange for getting a decision in his family’s case pending in the tehsil court in their favour. In the complaint, Naveen said that he had a father and seven brothers, and all the brothers had equal share in the land but it was not recorded in the government records. A case was filed in Israna Tehsildar Court to get the land divided. For getting the decision in his favour, the reader demanded 50 thousand rupees and the deal was finalised for 25 thousand rupees. The ACB team had given powder-coated notes to the complainant.
In another extortion case, Panchkula Police has arrested a youth named Arun who runs K9 YouTube channel. He was accused of extorting Rs 1 lakh from the PA of Gohana BJP MLA and Cabinet Minister Arvind Sharma. Arun, claiming himself the editor of the channel, was threatening to tarnish the image of the government and the Minister. On a complaint, Cyber Crime Police Station arrested the youth running the ‘K9’ YouTube channel. He was arrested while taking one lakh rupees from the PA of BJP MLA and Cabinet Minister Sharma from Gohana. Arun was introducing himself as the editor of the channel. According to the Police investigation officer, the accused will be taken on remand and questioned, to reveal the truth, only after that something can be said.
Cyber Crime Police Station has arrested the YouTuber from Gohana in connection with demanding money from the government and the cabinet minister Sharma threatening to tarnish his image, said DCP Crime Amit Dahiya. Information reveals, four more You YouTube channels are on the radar of the police allegedly demanding money from reputed persons to stop or relay the news against them tarnishing their image. According to police sources, action can be taken against them soon. At present, the police are interrogating the arrested accused.
