Two bank employees held in third case of cyber fraud in Gurugram

The Gurugram police’s Cyber Crime Cell arrested two private YES bank employees of Rohimi branch allegedly providing bank account details for Rs 1.32 crore cyber fraud. This is the third case of cyber fraud by the bank employees reported in the past few days in which Gurugram cyber crime cell succeeded  in arresting bank employees allegedly involved in on-line frauds, said Priyanshu Diwan ACP. While talking to media persons disclosed that police has arrested three accused in this cyber fraud have been identified as Deepak a resident of Bawana and Dharmender resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan both were arrested on Monday night at Rohini in Delhi and were employees of Rohini branch of YES Bank and according to a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station East on March 3 alleged duped of anount worth Rs 1.32 crore on the pretext cheated of investing in the stock market.Earlier, Gurugram cyber crime cell had also three officers including the bank manager Kotak Mahindra Bank at Gurugram and three officers of YES Bank in past few days.

Sidhant Jain DCP said, during the probe, Cyber Crime Police Station SHO Inspector Devender arrested the suspects from Delhi’s Rohini on Monday along with the arrest of one of their associates identified as Prakash in whose account Rs 10,000  was transferred from the cheated amount. DCP said that during four days police remand police trying to find out how many accounts fraud amount was made, accounts were opened by the accused and how many accounts were sold to the cyber criminals enabling them to arrest. During interrogation, the accused admitted that they kept in touch with cyber criminals and provided bank accounts to be used in committing cyber frauds and in return they received Rs 1.60 lakh. According to information, out of Rs 1.32 crore, Rs 10 lakh was also transferred by cyber criminals in a bank account in the name of Prakash provided by the arrested bank employees and further investigation is going on
